About my boats
I fish from one of two different boats depending on the size of your party and the type of fishing we will be doing. Both boats are equipped with VHF radios and Coast Guard safety equipment.



1. 23-foot shallow draft custom-built tower boat.
This boat is very comfortable for up to four anglers. Because of its shallow draft (13”) I can nose this boat right up to the mangroves and fish all but the shallowest of water. Its sharp entry and high gunnels provide a smooth, dry ride. The tower station allows me to see into the water to spot fish that would otherwise remain unnoticed. This is a great advantage when sight fishing for such gamefish as tarpon, permit, and cobia.




2. 17 foot Maverick flats boat
This is a great backcountry boat for two anglers. When you need to get shallower and pole up on some snook or redfish, this is the boat that will get you there. This is the boat I will fish if you wish to flyfish.
